Honestly, what is this world coming to!? I am standing at the checkout stand in the grocery store when the obese teenager holds up a bag of produce and says "Uh, Ma'am ... whats this?" I replied "...It's Asparagus." with the most bewildered look on my face.
How in the world can a teenager and a grocery store checker no less, not know what asparagus looks like? This, my friends, is why we have an obesity problem in America. People are getting so used to driving through for their meals that they have no idea what common vegetables even look like. Ridiculous.

This is at the same grocery story with all the hot men shopping on a Monday night? If they don't know, I'd gladly be the one that shows them what vegetables are.... :)
