Memorial Day

Ha ha .. bet you thought I forgot about the blog already?  :) 

This was a low key week... Pajama day on Wednesday where we made peanut butter chocolate chip cookies ... they were fantastic!!  We also did some work in their Kumon books and did a craft.  Thursday we went to the Downtown Aquarium to continue our learning about fish and the ocean.  Jake was interested in the names of some of the fish and was pretty impressed with the snake!  The white tiger was the most active I have ever seen a tiger .. he was jumping and pouncing and growling at all the onlookers ... it made the kids pretty nervous.  We rode the train after and got to see all the sharks then had lunch with Grams and Daddy Ken at Hungrys.  It was a nice morning and Jake and Delaney stayed with them for the night which gave Isla and I a chance to have some low key hang out time.
We have a fun weekend planned ... tomorrow we have friends coming over for swimming and dinner. Sunday we are going to the country club to swim with cousin Jackson, Grams and Daddy Ken!! Monday we are off to Flatonia to visit Grandpa, Grandma and the rest of the family.
